Something Big is on its way… Not meals on wheels but a Health and Wellbeing Wagon delivering NHS medicines to more people in Bishopstoke, Fair Oak, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Colden Common and surrounding areas. We’ll also collect inhalers for recycling and unused medicines for safe disposal. And, while ensuring we want to help as many people as possible with our free app and website, prescription and collection service we’ve gone fully electric to help reduce air and noise pollution to protect our neighbourhood. This is a serious issue and with all NHS services under tremendous strain this isn't going to be resolved soon so it would be good to know what else you can do. It may definitely pay off to call 111 or contact the local pharmacy you’d usually use. You’d be surprised how many unnecessary GP visits are made (see poster) while your local NHS pharmacy can usually help at no extra cost to you, will be cheaper for the NHS, just as effective, you’ll be seen quicker and will help free up GP waiting times.
